Anne S. Bassett, MD, FRCPC

Brief Description
Prof. Bassett, who directs the world’s leading comprehensive center for adults affected by chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome at the University of Toronto, shares her enormous experience in helping adults to live their best lives. She discusses the approach to supporting adults medically, most importantly in the areas of brain and behavior, using the established clinical healthcare guidelines that she and Prof. Donna McDonald-McGinn helped to develop, along with their international colleagues, which are currently being revised and expected to be published in 2022. Crucially, she discusses her experience with associated features and mortality. Prof. Bassett brings close to 30 years of experience to this presentation which includes important practical cautions such as “pop is poison” – most certainly a lecture not to be missed!
